About Us
Barbara Finnegan is the owner and manager of LarsonHess LLC. Her varied work experience includes teaching, radio ad production, radio station management, ad agency copywriting, nonprofit financial management, nonprofit fundraising and human resource management. When she’s not at work, she loves to be outside, and is a Virginia Cooperative Extension Master Gardener. She has served on the boards of local nonprofit organizations including Skyline Literacy and Harrisonburg Pregnancy Center.
Finnegan’s writing background includes a BA in English & German from Seattle Pacific University, and she has many years of experience in promotional, advertising and fundraising writing for businesses and nonprofits. In 2005, she completed an MBA degree at James Madison University. Her unusual combination of left and right brain activity gives her an inventive practicality. She has a solid grasp of the business world, and loves to solve marketing problems with creative ideas. She’s an idea person who knows how to get the job done.
